Welcome to Scituate

Settled in 1630, Scituate remains one of the oldest communities on the South Shore. That history is still celebrated every summer in August during the town's "Heritage Days." Historic points of interest include Scituate Lighthouse, The Old Oaken Bucket Homestead and Well, The Lawson Tower, Stockbridge Mill, and the Cudworth House as well as the Little Red School House which is the home of the Scituate Historical Society.

Fishing has always been an important part of Scituate, and its Town Pier accommodates a working fishing fleet and a number of ocean-related recreational activities. Along with the town's amazing beaches, including Minot, Sand Hills, Egypt, Peggotty, and Humarock, the town is a desirable summer destination and place to raise a family. 

Located just 25 miles south of Boston, Scituate is a delightful mix of rural, suburban and seaside lifestyles
